A Table Set for the Gospel Carnivore

First Course

Pull Up a Chair

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, sat at the table and dined with tax collectors, men who would betray Him, others who were sick and broken—all sinners and imperfect people. As an imperfect sinner in need of a Savior, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I wrote this devotional in an unconventional way. Just as Jesus welcomed everyone to the table, Jesus sits in the place of honor at the head of this table. I believe my readers to be intelligent, God-fearing truth seekers who desire to grow in their knowledge of who God is and what His role is in their lives. It is likely you don’t need your hand held; with this in mind, I purposefully did not assign dates or days, or create a specific number of devotions. I wrote in the hopes of my readers enjoying the freedom of consuming the contents of the pages a morsel at a time or feasting on whole sections.

As you read A Table Set for the Gospel Carnivore: First Course, you may be spiritually challenged. Pain is temporary. Regret blocks what is possible. Anger diminishes the value of who you are. May you be reminded that life is worth living well within the arms of our Father in heaven, full of peace, love, joy, purpose, and hope. May you be lovingly challenged and inspired. Drawn closer to Jesus. Set free. Educated. Motivated. Feel refreshed and know that you are not alone.

Bon appétit!

A Table Set for the Gospel Carnivore: First Course is a MUST READ! It’s for those Christians who know the Lord has been calling them to more but have yet to step up to the plate. It’s for the sceptic who has steered clear of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Bible due to past hurts and misunderstandings. It’s also for the brand-new Christian and life-long Christian. Never before have I read a devotional that challenges my current thinking with Biblical truth, science, and personal stories. The reader will literally need to “chew” on each spiritual nugget to extract the full amount from each lesson. Beth is not only drawing us closer to God through deep scriptural studies she is also very authentic and vulnerable with her readers. Teachers who show their students that they have not only gone through these life lessons but learned and grew from them as well are worthy of our time, study, and admiration.
